Today I am going to talk about one of the biggest muscles in your body and one of the best ways to compete using it. Your brain is the most important muscle in your body and is sadly the most under used muscle today. Then again that is just my opinion. The sport of the mind is chess, and it is a beautiful meeting of the minds. A mental battle of who can read their opponents moves better. A war fought with little plastic pieces. Watching someone play this game can say tons about them. If they rush head first you know they are aggressive, if they are slow and take their time you know they are a reactive person. Ad if they change their style....well the you know you have witnessed a master in the making.

Inside Out
This is a good example of your perspective. The shadow the apple is casting is much darker then out eyes know it should be so this photo stands out more to us, we want to examine it and figure out its secrets, what makes it so special that it can change the normal way things are. That in itself says a lot about how we human being are. We long for normality and when we see something that isn't normal we wish to examine it and find out what makes it different or even just admire its difference from us.
Its almost funny how much you can tell about someone just from small everyday actions. The glimpses you can get into ones head and psyche when they make small seemingly inconsequent choices is quite astounding and it was one of the biggest reasons why I always prefer to watch instead of act. The things one can learn observing are almost limitless. Something as simple as ones perspective can tell you what they think, glass half empty or glass half full for example.

Abstract Normality
Its been a while since my last post and for that I am truly sorry, life has its own chaos built right into it and this is the cause for my delay but in this chaos we can find hidden beauty. Today I am going to focus on abstract art, its purpose, and some of my own work. The purpose of abstract art and photography is to show the beauty in life's most complicated and confusing aspects or even to show the beauty in the lack of order in life's ever changing ways.

The picture show above is not seen as many as abstract, but tell me how often have you seen a red and black bee? Changing even the simplest aspect of a photo such as its color can make something seemingly ordinary a work of pure art. And while this isn't art in the slightest it is defiantly a decent example for my point. Color is part of what defines normal in nature and when that color is altered something can become abstract that was once normal.

An Unlocked Lock
Life is like an open hall full of doors
Some are wide open when we find them and others are shut tight
Some have locks with missing keys and some hold great treasures.
All these doors have one thing in common,
all of them will be opened and we have no idea what is behind any of them
some of us will be too scared to open them and others will look for ways around them.
Many admire the door and what lies on the other side
I admire the lock.
I look at the one thing holding me back from what is beyond and study it
trying to find what secrets itself holds.
I study the lock till the lock itself becomes a door for me to explore.
I study the lock till the lock opens itself.

Spring Has Arived

| A bird resting in a tree |
Spring has sprung and the birds and trees have finally begun to return to the normal state. The hills are greening and the trees leaves have returned to the branches. Time has kept passing and the memories of winter have become just that, memories. A new chapter dawns with the first bird and the first leaf and I am looking forward to all the memories I can capture in this beautiful time.

Introduction To My Writing
To demonstrate my writing I have a small free verse poem to post here. It is called Masks.
Life is an masquerade, everyone is wearing a mask to hide who they really are. Some make false friends with masks of smiles only to stab them in the back, some keep changing their mask day after day after day to try to belong, others wear the mask to hide from themselves and run from events long ago. Everyone wears their own mask made out of their own lies, hatred, and sins. But as people wear their mask they forget who they really are, slowly they become obsessed and so attached to their mask it becomes a part of them. The mask becomes them entirely, devouring the person hidden under the mask, destroying their old life and making a life of perfect bliss. A life built on lies and masks. Life is like a masquerade for lost souls, all searching for their purpose but so scared someone may disapprove they hide in plain sight behind their own self made mask.

My writing takes on many styles, some more serious like this and others more light and funny like I may post later. But all of my writing has purpose and meaning. Some pieces are only meant to make you laugh, some are to help people see what they cannot, and others may just be how I, or even someone else, feels. Writing is a huge part of my life and a core piece of who I am. The best way to get to know me is not by how I act but what I have to say.
Introduction To My Photography
My name is Kyle Clark and I am a photographer/writer.
I live in the Wenatchee Valley and have never been outside of it my whole life, but while I am here I have chosen to express myself in the forms of words and photos. The two have gone almost hand and hand in my life as I am what some people would call a watcher. I sit back while most people are running around, having fun and enjoying life and watch and observe. I learn about people through their actions and show them with words and pictures who they really are, sometimes they don't like what they are shown as the truth can be hard to swallow and sometimes they love what they see and are content with who they are. I also observe the land around me and it is one of my favorite things to do, watching time pass and how it affects the world around us. The picture above shows a normal leaf on the ground in fall, right before the first winter snow. Most people walk right over them and miss the beauty in the way it all unfolds but me? No not me, I watch the leaves and see the beauty in the way nature unfolds. To any ordinary person this leaf means that winter is coming, to me it shows that time has passed and in that time countless people have had good and bad memories made and that the world is still moving forward. This is why I shoot photos. To show others what they are missing, what their feet pass right over as they move on with their lives making memories with their precious time. I write cause not everyone would look at this leaf and think of everything they have done in the time it took for this leaf to fall.
